Our Process for Manufacturing Cargo Lifts
& Passenger Elevators

At Upandown Industries, we understand that the quality of a machine is only as good as the quality of the machinery used to produce it. To err is human, so we use state-of-the-art CNC machinery and robotics for maximum accuracy and parts complexity to manufacture our commercial and residential freight elevators. Features such as our spools, brakes, axels, and our welded components are only producible in a modern factory with experienced technicians, and that’s precisely what our company has.

We draw all of our products as a complete 3D CAD model prior to production, giving us a virtual component to test on the desktop, as well as an accurate representation for our personnel to build from. Our digital files also serve as the platform our CNC machining programs are generated from. Furthermore, our quality control program meets military spec guidelines. In fact, we have even sold a cargo lift to NASA. Our shop equipment includes:

  • Haas VF-4 CNC Milling Machine
  • Haas ST-25 CNC Lathe
  • Amera-Seiki VAS-4 CNC Milling Machine
  • WF Wells CNC Band Saw
  • FANUC ARC Mate Robotic Welding Cell
  • 2 Fronius Digital Welder with Cold Metal Transfer
  • Kaltenbach Semi-Auto Non-Ferrous Cold Saw with Digital Stop
  • 2 Millermatic 350 P Digitally Controlled Welders with Pulse Option
  • Fusion 360 CAD/CAM
